Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we begin the second month of the year, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for WA families and students. It takes a village, and WA staff appreciates the supportive community of parents at our school. It’s hard to believe that we are already  half way through the school year, and our students are making great strides in their academic and personal growth. We do not have parent teacher conferences for the 2nd quarter but please reach out to me or your child’s teacher if you have any questions about their report card or recent testing.

This month, we’re focusing on kindness. Students will work on giving compliments and completing acts of kindness. 

Student Led Conferences are coming up quickly, THIS YEAR'S STUDENT LED CONFERENCES WILL BE FRIDAY, MARCH 6TH. Your child (ren) have already been preparing for your visit! 

When you come for STUDENT-LED CONFERENCES, your child will share his or her carefully selected work with you. This is a non-student day - you will come visit the school with your child for your student-led conference on this day. When you arrive, you will accompany your child to his or her classroom. Your child will guide you through the conference and show you examples of his or her work from this school year. This conference varies from a traditional parent-teacher conference in that your student will lead you through the process. This conference is an opportunity for you to connect with your child and celebrate his or her growth through the school year up until this point. We look forward to seeing you. Please, save this date and make it a priority to come to Student Led Conferences with your child.

February 13th - No School

February 16th - Presidents Day - No School

February 20th - PTA Movie Night

March 6th- Student Led Conferences

March 27th - End of 3rd Quarter
