From the Principal:

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we begin the second month of the year, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for WA families and students. It takes a village, and WA staff appreciates the supportive community of parents at our school. It’s hard to believe that we are already  half way through the school year, and our students are making great strides in their academic and personal growth. We do not have parent teacher conferences for the 2nd quarter but please reach out to me or your child’s teacher if you have any questions about their report card or recent testing.

This month, we’re focusing on kindness. Students will work on giving compliments and have the opportunity to win Cougar gear by completing a kindness bingo card. We are also going to do a penny/coin drive to support Corpus Christi School in Pacific Palisades, CA. Corpus Christi  was damaged by the fires. One of our WA alumni students attended Corpus Christi prior to moving here. This family's former house and neighborhood is burned. We will be collecting coins throughout the month of February.
